About Our Facility

Ryer Martial Arts Academy is located on the second floor of the Chianelli Building in Shadyside.  The Chianelli building is situated at 5440 Centre Avenue, on the corner of Centre Avenue and Graham Street.  The building is conveniently between UPMC Shadyside Hospital and the Giant Eagle Market District.

Ryer Martial Arts Academy is the largest martial arts academy in the City of Pittsburgh!

Ryer Academy spans the entire, 8,000 square foot second floor of the Chianelli Building.  It has two training rooms that are outfitted with Zebra Mats' Mixed Martial Arts flooring system that is designed to provide superior protection for all types of martial arts training.  Training Room One has 1,300 square feet of mat space, while Training Room Two is over 2,700 square feet of mat space!  Each of these training rooms are equipped with heavy bags, free-standing bags, focus pads, free-weights, and other essential training equipment.

In addition to the training rooms: there are comfortable waiting areas for parents and onlookers; separate locker rooms for males and females; and a Pro-Shop stocked with all your martial arts and fitness needs.
